CURRICULUM ON SECURITY CULTURE

Implementation period: June – November 2023

Project objective: The project aims to improve the level of education and the culture of peace and security among students at Moldovan universities (first cycle, bachelor’s degree) by developing a security curriculum.

Objectives:
– Promote a culture of security.
– Build inter-institutional cooperation to strengthen the joint implementation of projects.
– Develop a curriculum on the culture of security.
– Involve 5 universities in the process of developing and implementing the curriculum at the local level.
– To provide students with an understanding of recent research, both theoretical and empirical, on the causes of war and peace; as well as on national and global security policies, measures, and challenges in the modern world.

To achieve the goals and objectives, the following activities will be carried out in this edition of the project:
– Training sessions for the establishment of the working group.
– Interim workshops attended by stakeholders involved in curriculum development to discuss aspects of the development process.
– Development and approval of the security culture curriculum.

The project is implemented with financial support from NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division (PDD).
