INFOGRAPHIC: LOCALIZING THE WOMEN, PEACE, AND SECURITY AGENDA (II)

Localizing the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Agenda means transforming the global principles of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 into concrete actions at the local level.
Local government, non-governmental organizations, and communities work together to:

Increase women’s participation in local decision-making
Prevent violence and conflicts
Develop support services for victims
Promote education for peace and social cohesion
See the infographic in the appendix to find out how the WPS Agenda is implemented at the local level and what role each community plays!
