How is Moldova countering hybrid threats? In this interview, we explore the importance of transparency, deterrence, and a whole-of-society approach, role of the culture — where institutions, civil society, and private companies work together to strengthen national resilience. Following the recent elections, Moldova’s most urgent priority is to reinforce national resilience through closer cooperation between the state and society. For citizens, the simplest protection against online disinformation is clear: check the source and avoid sharing questionable content. Europe can learn from Moldova’s example — societal mobilization, institutional transparency, international cooperation and rapid response remain key tools in countering hybrid manipulation.
